Heart rate zone training is a cardiorespiratory training program for weight loss and fitness for people at all levels of fitness.

I use three different heart rate zones which are based on an individual’s Heart Rate Max (220-age):

Zone 1 (65%) “fat burning” zone.

Zone 2 (80%) muscle building zone.

Zone 3 (95%) power zone.

By selecting exercises normally appropriate for each zone and varying the duration and intensity of each exercise I move clients through each zone to burn calories and kick metabolism into high gear. I check the Heart Rate of each person after each exercise and keep records to produce subjective information which we can use from workout to workout to build and progress within the program.

Real martial arts training for self-defense, fitness, and competition.

This isn’t cardio kickboxing! I bring my martial arts experience and craft a program, that at it’s core, emphasizes correct form and movement of Karate and Muay Thai. Depending on your goals I can incorporate fighting strategy for competitors and self-defense tactics. We don’t just hit bags all day either. I suit up in pads and you get to hit me! My clients tell me it a great stress reliever!
